DIY Stripe It

With the turning of summer in the western part of the hemisphere I couldn’t help myself with this oh so adorable DIY Stripe It. The painted lines are uneven + splendidly assymetrical + you can really try your own version with an old t-shirt or fabric napkins. Jupiter is the limit.
materials
If you wanna give this crafty project a try here’s what you’ll need:

- Onesie or fabric piece of choice.
- Fabric paint
- Paint brush
- Masking tape
- Cardboard panel
step by step
After gathering your materials…
Step 1: Placed strips of masking tape along the front of the onesie.
Step 2: Placing a piece of cardboard inside the onesie to make sure the fabric paint doesn’t leak through to the back side.

Step 3: Apply paint with a paint brush not worrying about making the lines perfect.
Step 4: Let dry for several hours.
Step 5: Strip off the masking tape.
Step 6: Heat set it with an iron + please don’t burn yourself like I did.
Step 7 (optional): Adorn your piece. I added a little sailor brooch to it for that special touch.
Step 8: You got yourself the cutest little onesie. Hip hip hoooray!

try it
This is such a fun + simple + rewarding project. So much so, that I’m at the point where half of my closet has been tranformed into stripes LOL. Not kidding. Should probably stop now, right? Well, in any case, would love to know what you inner Picasso is planning to do with this project.
