Show Miss Lazy + Mr. Stuck Who’s the Boss

Ahem ahem! I’m interrupting the scheduled Vlogging 101 Series to bring you this kick in the pajama pants episode about, well, overcoming stuck + beating laziness.

As chief executive captain of the Life is Messy Bootcamp + self-proclaimed master organizer of the disorganized, it has come to my attention one peculiarity about us multi-passionate entrepreneurs: we’re like Cirque du Soleil jugglers, trying not to miss a beat + trying not to mess up our act + trying so so freaking hard not to let our spectators down. This has got to stop!

Watch today’s Friday Video Time clip to get the full scoop.

When you’re done, click on the banner above to take the pledge. It’s absolutely free. All you have to do is take a proactive stance + commit to the challenge. By doing so, you’ll automatically join a movement of doers + world changers. I hope you take me up on the offer.

I’ve also whipped up this complementary 21 Day End Paralysis Challenge funsheet for tracking + accountability. Just click here to download + print + go + report your progress.

Don’t forget, the challenge kick starts this Monday, April 16 + ends Sunday, May 6 (or never). Save the date!

What else? Oh yeah…
quick announcement
In the spirit of giving MORE + going DEEPER + reaching HIGHER + making REAL transformations in the lives of my clients, I’ve decided to make some BIG changes to my creative business coaching practice. Starting April 15 (that’s this Sunday), I will only jam with 3 rockstars-in-the-rising at a time + my rates are going up 40%.

OMG todo esto de las promesas vomitadas me hace sentir semi-infartada! 🙁

    Me declaro 100% culpable.

  • Marta Costa says:

Needed this so much… You just can’t imagine! Thank you for beeing such a cheerleader and an inspiration.

  • Kristi *aka* BohoBear says:

Love the worksheet–and I love that I don’t have to start till Monday! HA!

I do LOVE this, Mayi. Although, I am absolutely NOT lazy or stuck (I work from the moment I get up until the moment I go to bed, just overwhelmed!

My biggest frustration at the moment? I’m suffering from carpal tunnel so everything is 10 times harder to complete–and this is the dumbest part–I’m trying to do bootcamp, but I can’t even write with a pen right now, so I’m trying to do my worksheets on the computer (easier to type than grip a pen!). I wish they were fillable! So, it’s not that I’m procrastinating, I just actually can’t do a lot of the work I need to.

  • Haroulla says:

Amen sista!! Let’s do this! I stuck to the plan Mayi, and filled in my Foolproof Your Goals worksheets this morning as planned! Mr Stuck is slowly vanishing …

  • Kagan G. Byron says:

I’m so excited Mayi! Sitting here, listening to you, I have to admit I felt a little guilty. I consistently fail to follow through and it makes me feel like a complete loser.

I’ll absolutely join you in this challenge. It’s a great way to get tough and be honest with myself so I can make powerful changes. It’s great to be able to work on this together.

I’m printing out my sheet right now and getting to work. No more wasted time!

  • mayicarles says:

Kristi: I can’t even imagine how suffering from carpal tunnel must be. What I do know is that I have the BEST article EVER for dealing with overwhelm. This article truly changed my outlook + attitude when it comes to overwhelm + I think it can help you too:

And while I’m in the sharing spirit, I think you will find this interview oh so very inspiring: http://www.yourgreatlifetv.com/interviews/sean-stephenson-interview-a-real-life-hero-leads-the-way/

  • francesca says:

    ..Mayi…sorry if I repeat myself sometimes…IIIIIIILLLLOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEEYYYYOOYOYOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!:D
I must confess to you one thing: even though we’re far away I feel you as close as energy and real support to my work, really+really! Here often people are very pessimistic but, even I can seem you nerdy, I take so much energy from you, yes from you! I feel that this energy is acting for myself and my work. You’re really the chocolate + chili fairy I was looking:)

  • Gabriella says:

Hi Mayi! I love your playsheets! They are huge motivators for me! Keep them coming!

  • Licia Dantas says:

HELL YEAH! That’s the kind of energy + commitment the world (myself included) is lacking of. Challenged accepted. *singing along with Freddie Mercury – We are the champions, my friends, and we’ll keep on fighting till the end * 😉 😉

  • Erika says:

Just what i needed to hear!!! Gracias Mayi!! I commit, no tengo twitter sorry!!!

  • Sharon says:

I need this so badly … just did laundry so all my pjs are clean and ready

  • Jacolien says:

Mayi, thank you for this vlog!
I’m not really dealing with deadlines or promises to others.
But I’m pretty much always stuck in having too many ideas! I do write them down somewhere, but somehow it’s hard to get started on things. And I don’t know why? Am I affraid that after finishing all my ideas, I’ll have no inspiration for other things?
What are your recommendations on how to deal with this?

  • Modupe says:

Preach it! I so needed to hear this today!

  • Jenn says:

Absolutely what I need right now! I am accepting the challenge! It’s time to get the media kit together for the blog. I’ve been putting it off bc approaching advertisers is scary!

  • Bea @ CancunCOOKIES says:

    Arrancamos, a darle durisimo!

  • gina says:

Love this Mayi and it’s exactly what I need right now…..just committed to the challenge and I’m ready!

thanks for all your great videos and playsheets!

  • Sofia Dias says:

Hello Mayi. LOVE the video and I knOw so much people that, like me, as stuck in to a point, aparently with no return. But, i understand that moments like Friday Video Time it’s motivating and a progress in my life. I’m the master of complening.I’m always thinking that I have no time, no money, no skills, no this, no that. That my full time job killing my creativity but it’s WRONG! I’m the killer of my own creativity but sometimes it seems so hard take the step forward. But I’m try to do more and best!:)

  • Cathy says:

Mayi, I take the pledge! And to make this even stronger, I’ve even shared it (and pledged to it) on my own blog: http://patchesofbeing.blogspot.pt/2012/04/im-taking-pledge.html or http://retalhosdeser.blogspot.pt/2012/04/eu-assumo-o-compromisso.html!

  • Tabassum says:

It’s on!! I got the Rocky soundtrack in my head, got the calendar printed, and I’m getting ready to kick this whiny, procrastinating, overwhelmed, stressed out, daydreaming, can’t-keep-her-promises girl to the curb! Just saying that is refreshing 🙂 It’s time for the potential supa-star that is hidden deep inside of me beneath tons of layers of crap to step up to the plate.

I love everything you said in today’s video. You totally called my a** out and I needed to hear it. And the C.T.A. ( as Marie Forleo calls them) the Call To Action at the end is perfect. I’ll be checking in with you later with my list of Done Deals…fingers crossed 😉

  • Linda Sparkman says:

Full of great advice. Gee where do you get it all?

  • Kim Gosney says:

    Mayi,
I had to comment again! I just finished a tutorial on notepads that I kept saying I would do – the challenge pushed me to get rid of Mr. Stuck and just get it done! Thanks for the challenge inspiration!

  • Adelaida says:

    Starting today 🙂

Thank you for the boost :*
